Our Team

Jessica Nelson, MD

Dr. Nelson received her bachelor’s degree from New York University in neural science and then attended medical school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, receiving her medical degree in 2010. She completed her psychiatry residency training in the Department of Psychiatry at TTUHSC Lubbock and ultimately remained faculty in the same department for seven years, achieving the title of Associate Professor with Tenure. While on faculty she served as the psychiatry residency program director and the medical director for behavioral health at Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Children’s Hospital. She has extensive experience in general adult psychiatry, adult inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and substance use disorders. She is excited to continue to serve the Lubbock community in a private practice role and sees patients both in person and via telehealth.

Luke Anderson, MD

Dr. Anderson was born and raised in the DFW metroplex where he also attended the University of Texas at Dallas, receiving a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 2002. He worked in the data security field for a few years before deciding to leave his career and pursue medicine. He attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, receiving his medical degree in 2018, and completed his residency training in general psychiatry at the same institution in 2022. After living in Texas for over 40 years, he is extremely pleased to be able to continue supporting the west Texas community via telehealth.

Christopher Neel, MD

Dr. Neel received his bachelor’s degree from Texas State University – San Marcos. He worked as a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor in East Texas for several years before pursuing a career in medicine. He then attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, receiving his medical degree in 2019, and completing his residency training in psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2023. He has training in both outpatient adult and child psychiatry, adult inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, substance use disorders including methadone and suboxone treatments, and geriatric outpatient psychiatry. He is excited to continue serving the Lubbock and South Plains community, seeing patients both in-person and via telehealth.
